“The change process for individuals or organisations can be slow and at times painful. As therapists our job is not just to listen and understand. Sometimes we need to put ourselves on the line and advance opinions that clients can find confronting or even unpleasant. At these times we need to be sure that our primary driver is compassion – not the ego of the expert!”
